This is a pair of late Victorian brass candlesticks in the Gothic Revival style, made with hexagonal column stems, broad drip pans and stepped circular bases. They follow the shape of 19th century church and altar candlesticks, but in a smaller size for normal table or mantel use.
They are unusually heavy for their size, weighing 2830 grams together, with loaded bases that keep them steady. They bave an exceptional form, a seriously stylish pair.
